Shoes are incredibly important for children of school-going age, especially those from poor backgrounds. Every day, children in low-income communities walk to school barefooted or in worn-out shoes, struggling to keep up with their studies. Children without shoes often face stigma, bullying, or discrimination from their peers.
For these children, shoes are not just a luxury, but a vital necessity, but for many families, the cost of new shoes is a burden they cannot afford.
Sole for Souls is a Shoe Drive campaign organized by Come Study International to provide footwear for underprivileged school going children this December. On 19th December, 2024, a total of 200 brand new pairs of shoes were donated to school children of Chorkor Presby, Accra.
